Fujitsu announced on June 2 that the company and Rohde & Schwarz have signed a cooperation agreement, whereby they will jointly develop a WiMAX SoC test solution, leveraging both parties' proprietary WiMAX technologies, including Fujitsu's Mobile WiMAX solution MB86K21 and R&S CMW270 WiMAX tester, according to a press release by Fujitsu. The new solution will benefit WiMAX device manufacturers of mobile stations and terminals, PC cards, and multimedia handheld devices by speeding up their testing process and improving cost efficiency, according to the same source.
